We like to think of ourselves as do gooders and we would love everyone to join in if they can. We have two areas that are looking to develop as databroker grows.
Environment
We have taken tangible steps towards reducing carbon emissions and achieving neutrality. We have a 12 month environmental plan developed along with a third party that helps us on the way. Using less paper, recyclable materials and reducing transport, energy saving measures are all now standard and we are enjoying contributing in our small way.
The local area
The Legacy Rainbow House Childrens charity in Ormskirk is one area that Databroker have helped out in donating and aiding their marketing. They can always use more help though so please contact Serena Stringfellow (01704 823276) if you would also like to help in any way you can. They do a fantastic job helping the lives of children with physical disabilities and genetic conditions.
The not so local area
Databrokers main charity focus in 2011 will be a place we hold dear to our hearts. After visiting in 2008, the Elephant Sanctuary in Chang Mai, Thailand will never be forgotten. The sanctuary is nothing short of inspirational, a place full of fantastic volunteers doing heroic deeds for amazing animals. In a country where the Elephant is prone to mistreatment, this oasis provides welcome respite. We will be looking to revisit and volunteer in the future but for now, we hope that we can help them from a far and best of all – you can help too. We need to help them get the Elephants off the streets of Bangkok and other tourist hotspots and back into their natural habitat.
